Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 28, 2026

At Flavor Flip Recipes (https://flavorfliprecipes.com), your privacy is a top priority. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, which tools collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By continuing to use our site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

a. Log Files
Like most websites, our web host (Hostinger) keeps standard server log files. These logs record:

  • IP addresses
  • Browser type
  • Internet Service Provider (ISP)
  • Date and time of visit
  • Referring/exit pages
  • Number of clicks

This information is used for security and site maintenance and is not linked to any personally identifiable data.

b. Personal Data
If you provide personal information (such as your name or email address) through the newsletter form, the comment form, or by emailing us, we use it only to:

  • Respond to your message
  • Send the recipe newsletter, if you subscribed and confirmed
  • Display and moderate your comment

We do not sell your personal information.

2. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Flavor Flip Recipes uses:

  • Essential cookies set by WordPress, for example to remember your name and email in the comment form if you tick the box to save them.
  • Analytics cookies from Google Analytics (see section 3).
  • Advertising cookies from Google and its partners (see section 4).

You can manage or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics, set up through the Google Site Kit plugin, to understand how visitors use the site. It collects information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, your device and browser type, your approximate location (country or city) and how you found the site. Google Analytics uses cookies (such as _ga) to tell visits apart. We use this information in aggregate to improve our recipes and guides, not to identify you.

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy.

4. Advertising Partners

We work with advertising partners, including Google AdSense. These partners may use:

  • Cookies
  • JavaScript
  • Web beacons

to deliver and measure the effectiveness of ads. They may automatically receive your IP address.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. For more information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland: personalized ads are only shown after consent is collected through a Google-certified consent message. You can change your choice at any time from that message.

5. Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address, together with the date and IP address of your sign-up and confirmation, in our website database using the MailPoet plugin. We first send a confirmation email and only add you to the list after you click the confirmation link. After that, you receive an email when a new recipe is published.

Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing us.

6. Comments

When you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comment form (name, email address and optional website), plus your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam. Your email address is never published.

Comments are checked by Akismet, an anti-spam service run by Automattic. See Automattic’s Privacy Policy. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to show your profile picture if you have one; see the Gravatar privacy policy.

7. Third-Party Privacy Policies

This policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies to understand how they collect and use your data and how to opt out.

8. Data Security and Retention

We implement reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Comments are kept for as long as they are published on the site.

9. Your Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Restrict or object to the processing of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time
