Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops about 1 inch thick, roughly 6 oz each
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar optional, helps browning
  • 2 tsp paprika smoked or sweet
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Method

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Mix the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper in a small bowl.
  2. Rub the chops all over with the olive oil, then press the spice mix onto both sides.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F for about 3 minutes.
  4. Place the chops in a single layer with space between them, working in batches if needed. Air fry for 6 to 7 minutes.
  5. Flip the chops and air fry 6 to 7 minutes more, until an instant-read thermometer in the thickest part reads 145°F.
  6. Transfer to a plate and rest for 3 to 5 minutes before serving.
